I just installed the Belkin N1 router. On my old router I had four computers that could all see each other and share files:
\\comp1, 2, 3, and 4
After putting in the new router and rebooting all the machines, only \\comp3 remains fully accessible for file sharing. The other computers give "you might not have permission to access this network resource" errors in explorer.
The interesting thing, though, is I'm using a program called "multiplicity" that lets me control 2 other computers with the same keyboard and mouse via the network, and that is still working fine.
Any ideas other than put the old router back?

Start by checking the TCP/IP information on each PC in your LAN. To do so, open a command prompt window and type the following command:
ipconfig /all
Compare IP's. All should be in the same range with the same default gateway address, DNS address, and subnet mask. If there are any that don't have correct information, it could be as simple as them not getting their information from DHCP properly.
From the command prompt window you can type:
ipconfig /release
(release your present IP)ipconfig /renew
(renew IP info - as in, get a new one)Now check again and compare. Did the PC in question get the correct information? If not, then it's not communicating properly with the DHCP server or the DHCP server's scope is not configured correctly (most likely if some PC's are getting correct info and some aren't).
