I want to network 2 computers (both XP home ed) that will allow file sharing & printer sharing on both computers.I also want the 2 computers to access the Internet using an Adsl modem( no firewall in modem) .The Adsl modem has an ethernet port which I want to connect to a 4 port swith (hub)How can i achieve this. Please note that I do not want to use ICS as I want to be able to access the Internet even if one machine is not powered on. Also I would like step by step instructions on how to make specific folders on both machines shared. Thanks in advance

What you want you can't have. You could if you replaced the 4 port switch with a router. Otherwise you have to have 2 nics in once xp box and use ICS. Golly gee wilerkers everyone! Learn to Internet Search
