Hey, I cannot print from my wireless laptop to the desktop printer.
I have a desktop with XP home edition and a laptop from work with win2000 and wireless connection.
I have a Linksys WRT54GS setup so that both PC's can access the web OK.
I can also ping each PC OK.
I can access the files on the laptop from the desktop by \\IP address
If I try access the desktop from the laptop by \\Ip address, I get an error:
'There are currently no login servers available to service the login request'

I think I can assume that the problem is on the desktop. But I have shared and disabled all security and firewall and still have not had success in accessing the desktop from the laptop. I'm stumped and the IT guys at work or from Linksys cannot find the solution.
HELP!!!! :) Folken

When you log on your work laptop your most likely logging in with your work domain, which requires your work's domain server for authorization - your home desktop computer does not have your work domain server authorization...

What you should do is when you log in your work laptop at home - when you first log in at the very bottom of the loggin screen you should have a location for "log on to: ", if not select the option tab and it will appear.

Next select the down arrow and use the log on to identified as something(this computer)

That gives your PC local user settings and controls.

The trick is if your work administrator gave you the rights to log on and configure anything locally on your computer...you won't know till you try to log on locally.
