Networking with XP

I need some in detail help on setting up a network. Here is what I have right now. 3 computers all running Windows XP Pro. One Scientific Atlanta Cable Modem. One Linksys Etherfast 10/100 8-Port Workgroup Switch. As it stands right now the cable comes from the wall into the cable modem. The modem then comes to the ILink port on the switch. Then from the switch each computer gets a patch cable to the respective network card. The Internet works fine but no matter what I do I can not get the computers to recognize each other and file/print share. I believe the cable company has each computer setup with its own ip address. Please help me I have tried everything I know to and read everything I could find and still am at a loss.

Make sure all you computers belong to the same workgroup. Right click my computer and choose properties and select the Computer name tab. File and print sharing is disabled by default in Win XP. Right click the drive you want to share and use the sharing menu to enable this. Same right click theory for the printer you want to share. Also check that the personal fire wall in XP is not on.
