Comment: ve a pc with a router to share internet connection(d-link). now i ve a new server which i want to connect to my remaining pc and also share internet.......but during server configuration my win2k server failed to act as the only one server in the LAN.is that because i ve connected the server to the router and the router act as a gateway? how do i make my LAN sharing the internet connection using this router?

Reply: (edit)I have a totally different read on this. I believe the poster HAS a dlink router. He just wants file sharing or wants the server to act as a domain controller. Perhaps he will post back and confirm what it is he wants.
