I have a peer to peer network with two p,c's one running Win 98, and the other running Win 2000. When I connect my two p,c's to one another the pc 's can see one another in network neighborhood but when I try to access the pc running Win 2000 I am asked for a network password. When I enter the password for the Win 2000 pc it's not accepted.

r-click my computer on the win2000 pc, select Manage, goto local users and groups, goto users folder, look at properties of guest account and enable if disabled.
That would be the easiest way to do it.
Else, on the win98 machine, click start then log off, when the logon screen comes on, put in a user like administrator or account that u use on the w2k pc. then when it asks for a password put the password for that user.
