I want to connect my computer to my HD 1080 LCD 42" tv I want to be able to watch movies and play music on my tv. i have a bose sound unit as well and want to connect the pc to it as well. I hope this is the right section since I am creating a network. So i was owndering if there are any wireless video receivers so i can avoid having cables going through the house. and if i do have to use cables because of quality then which one should i use hdmi, vga, s video and so on and that is all but i would prefer wireless but i do not know how good the quality will be let me know please.

Appreciate it in advance.
Thanks.

That is not a network but a connection of peripheral devices to your computer.

You would need a tv capture card to watch tv via your computer to a big screen. It doesn't work the other way tv to pc.

Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

i wirelessly watch major league baseball on my big screen, i'm subscribed to the mlb network, the signal comes thru the dsl, to my router, wireless send it to my laptop in the living room, and an s-video cable is connected to the tv. the radon video cars has dual monitor capability, and after i login to the game, it plays perfect on the 52 '' big screen. i has a surround sound system plugged into the laptop. sounds great!!

That's a pretty cool setup mountain. What software are you running to channel/control the output to the tv or is it just off the internet and split monitor? Does the mlb network provide anything else than baseball?

Are you ready for where Microsoft wants you to go today?
