i have a westell modem-routed for verizon dsl.I purchased a netgear wireless card. Is there an easy way to creat this network or not? This question may need too much info. Any takers?

Too much for what? You want to install the wireless card in your PC so that you can connect wirelessly to your Westell modem/router? Is that the question? You wouldn't be creating anything other than obtaining connectivity to your modem/router. Unless you're referring to using more than one computer. Then, you'd have your home network.

Just one hard wired computer, the main one to a second computed which i install a netgear wireless adapter to. I know to run the cd that came with the card, but when i ran vista networking, it saw no wireless devices in the area. The second computer is sitting ten feet from the westell 327w.I ran out of time before work and thought maybe i could get some pointers. Thanks for the reply and a follow up would be great.

If the you installed the software first, and then installed the card, you should be fine. Vista may require additional steps, but all you should have to do is Detect the wireless networks, (it should detect the MAC address of the modem). Then enter the WEP code from the bottom of the modem.
