We have a lot of network activity going through our internet connection and we want to start digging down into this to see what kind of traffic it is.
We have looked at commercial and open source solutions and have not yet found what we need. We are trying to find a fairly low cost solution here.
I need to be able to either buy a device or software or preferably find out about open source software that I can install on a computer with two network cards.
I want to capture the traffic and be able to analyze it. Hopefully with a web browser or something.
I need to be able to see an overview of the traffic. Something like:
"Internal IP" "Port" "Destination IP" "Port" "Bandwidth".It is important that I can see "live" how much bandwidth an particular port is using and then very easily be able to click on that port or something so that I can then see which IP the traffic is originating. I would prefer to be able to see both UDP and TCP traffic
Help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Not sure - but search for freeware network 'sniffer' software, may be what you need.
