I'm unable to get a working solution from Westwood EA - Can anyone here help?

I would like to play Red Alert 2 across a Lan which is hooked up through Linksys 4 port router.

I have 2 PC's running it through it for internet sharing a cable modem. Went to Westwood's site to see FAQ's and followed their instruction to run IPX protocal. Each pc has the 1/2 Cd's rather than it's own full application.

When running RA2's network option, in theory I'm supposed to see PC2 in the game lobby, yet it doesn't seem to work.

Any help appreciated.

Thomas

You Probably don't Have IPX installed.. what kind of OS you running?

Your not trying to go to the INternet.. so lan will only need the IPX enabled.. In Win2k/XP.. its a simple check box.. in 98/Me
you have to actually install the new Protocol.. however it is builtin you still have to install it completely and Hope you have the original install cab files.

What he said. Go to Network Neighborhood and see what protocols you have installed: Make sure IPX/SPX is installed and NETBIOS is bound to it. All computers on the subnet must have the same Workgroup name but different Computer Names.
