i have a pc using XP as the main and a laptop using XP pro (now) as the client. i have a PCMCIA card in the laptop and a NIC in the PC and a xover cable connecting them. i have run the network setup wizard and everything setup fine, on the main PC it says that internet sharing is enabled and it sees the LAN link, the laptop sees the LAN link aswell. when i try and access the internet on the laptop it doesn't work, neither does trying to printer share or file share. i tried pinging the line and it just timed out from both ends. please help, i'm tearing my hair out!!
