i am networking two win me boxes, one home edition, the other professional or office. professional or office box repeatedly can not connect to network. home edition box can see itself, not other box. workgroups are identical, different names, correct network protocols etc. i am not an network expert, just trying to network younger brothers computers for game play. any suggestions?

You have a cross link cable or hub/switch?

Network protocol: TCP/IP what IP assinget for home(Suggestion : 192.168.0.1 and what for proffesionl (Sug. 192.168.0.2 both Sup-Net 255.255.255.0)?
