Hi

I have 2 PC’s which I connected thorogh 2 Ethernet 10/00 cards and crossover cable. im using Sygate 4.2 to establish the ICS and Microsoft file sharing protocol.

One computer running win 98 which has an internet connection and share it with the other one which running win2k pro. I need them both to function as one computer with unresriced access.

The ICS is ok.

The Problem :

1.The Win 98 computer cannot access the other one because the need to type a password. I added an account in the Control Panel/users and password but its didn’t work.

You must supply a password to make this connection.
Resource: \\Win2k\IPC$
Password:

2.The win2k cannot write to win 98 hard drive. How can I obtain unrestriced access ?

I don’t know much about networking so don’t account on my skills

Thankx
Shay

You must set up a user on the win 2k machine which has the same name as the user you log onto your win98 machine.

Hope this helps
