OK, here's the dilemma, I have an old laptop running windows 3.1 on it and I want to network it to a computer running 98....Now neither one has a network card and according to the networking info(however little there is) with 3.1 and 98 you don't necessarily need a network card(either a parallel port or a com port) to connect the 2 together. So my question is this: How do I connect the 2 computers together using a com port or a parallel port? (the laptop does not have a cd drive) If anyone can give me any info on this, feel free to email me, any help will be greatly appreicated. Thanx

I am having the same problem, i've got a 386sl laptop, i am able to access the laptop with a null modem cable on both parrallel ports, i run the interlnk command through the config.sys (DEVICE=C:(whichever the directory it is) interlnk.exe, and make sure before this happens, that on the laptop make sure you run the intersvr program, they should connect, and you could access the Win3.1 drives on your windows 98 machine If you find anyother ways to do this please e-mail me
