Comment: I upgraded my old machine to WinME, and since then, I can't get networking to work. I use FreeSco on an old 486 (www.freesco.org) and can get internet through my new computer, but with my old one, I can't. It gets its IP address thorugh the network, but I can't access the internet and can't access my network Also, on my new machine when I open My Network places, an error comes up asking if I want to debug it, then nothing works Thanks

Reply: (edit)On your new computer, install internet connection sharing wizard. You'll go to add new programs | Windows. Then it will be either under communications or internet. Install the internet connection wizard and then run the wizard. It will probably take you back through home networking wizard. Reboot your computer and cut the new computer on first and get online. Then, cut the second computer on and see if you can surf the web. If this doesn't fix it, right click on my networking places (or whatever yours is called) and click properties. Look at all the properties of everything on there and make sure you notice which TCP/IP or netbeui is the default (make sure it is the same on the other computer). Hope it works out, Tonya I'm running networking on winME and and win98 system.
