I have what is probably a very simple problem to fix, it's just that I haven't found the solution yet!
I have 2 PC's networked and have ICS installed on XP Pro, which will access the internet with no problems. The client PC (XP home) has the broadband connection showing and can connect and disconnect the modem.
Both computers can ping each other and can share files, folders etc. so the actual network is fine. The client PC can't ping or see any web pages though.
I have looked through the forums here and have searched many other sites (including practicallynetworked, wown, microsoft, tweaktown, onecomputerguy etc...etc...) and have followed all instructions without joy.
I'm thinking it's just a setting or configuration on the client PC somewhere but I've tried everything I can think of and have now run out of ideas. Does anyone please have any other suggestions?

I'm not all that familiar with ICS but the first thing is the IP numbers. What is the IP of your gateway computer? Another thing to check is the firewall settings on the XP home machine.
Can you ping the internet by IP (like 66.94.234.13)?

I know this does not help with your current problem at hand, but I would dump the ICS and purchase a cheap router. Easier, better security and you don't have to have both computers on at the same time.
