Specs: Windows 7

Hi!
I have 4 pc's at my office. We have a Verizon modem/router that 2 of the pc's are connected to and are working fine. Then I have a Cisco 8 port switch connected to the router and the other 2 pc's are connected through that. One pc works fine. The other will connect to the internet but will only network with the one pc on the same switch. I can ping all pc's from the "bad" pc, but only the one pc on the same switch can ping the "bad" pc. The three pc's that are working are XP Pro, the "bad" one is Windows 7, but it had stopped working when it had XP also (hard drive crashed and I updated). I have sharing set up on all pc's.

Any ideas? Hope I haven't confused the issue.

Thanks!

Rob

check the windows firewall isn't blocking access
check if file and printer sharing is allowed.

Firewall is off and sharing is on. I tried turning off NAT on the switch and lose connectivity on the "bad" pc with no network still.

In order to make sure whether it's incorrect switch configuration, switch port problem or PC problem, advise you to connect that "bad" PC to Verizon router and see whether it can be reached from other PCs.

The other approach, you can connect that "bad PC" to the other Cisco switch ports, and test again. You can even connect the "bad PC" to the Cisco switch port which is connected by the other working PC, and test again.

Hope this helps.
