Hi.. I hope someone can help me. I have a Dell Vostro 200 with Vista Business and a Belkin Wireless G Router connected so that my wife can connect to the internet through my network. Her pc is running on Windows XP Home Edition and has a Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter. On startup her pc automatically connects to the network and she can use the internet. However, after a couple of minutes the connection is lost, but will reconnect after a period varying from several seconds to a few minutes. This happens constantly and makes actually using the internet virtually impossible for her. The connections loss appears to get more frequent, and last for longer, the longer her pc is switched on. Any ideas PLEASE!!

There may be several different reasons for the disruption to the connection.
1. The wireless router may be faulty.
2. the wireless NIC may be faulty. or the USB port it's connected to.
3. there may be too much distance/obstructions between router and client PC ( What signal strength is showing?)
4. another wireless radio device such as cordless telephone may be interfering. Try a different radio channel in your router.

Hi... Many thanks for your swift reply. Although in different rooms the 2 pcs are only about 5 yards apart and the signal strength, when connected is usually very good or excellent. I do have a cordless phone in the same room as the router so I will try moving that a little further away, although any more than 4 or five feet is difficult. Obviously if all else fails I will try another router and adapter. Cheers
