I have a Win NT server that allows users to access my network via RAS. I dont have a firewall or a security software installed on that server, what do you recommend me to install in order to see in log files who dials up and what he/she does while he/she is connected?
what do you know about Zone Alarm?

I don't recommend installing ZoneAlarm on any server. That's just my personal opinion, though. If you'd like to see who's using it, and who's not, turn on all the auditing for successful logon's and logoff's in User Manager. That will show you who's logging on.

HTH,
Chase

Good call on the zonealarm...Doesnt do well with servers. Also you might want to think about upgrading to 2k its much more eazily tweaked. You can also audit what they do while their there.

Hopefully we'll upgrade to w2k that NT server before this year ends, but Joe, will w2k really give me all that auditing information?
because if that's your recommendation i think we'll have to upgrade it asap.

I'll try Chase's recommendation too with my current NT server.

thanks for your messages.
