I just finshed reading my book and was wondering if the exam questions were mostly scenarios or for example: At what level of the OSI model does a router operate?

It's been a while since I wrote my Network+ so I really don't remember too many questions (except the wild one about 2000 encryption which was a topic not covered...)
Check the braindumps on the web....I'm sure you'll find some related directly to the Network+ exam. They're a reasonable study guide and give you an idea on what type of questions to expect on the actual exam.

http://www.freecomptia.com/net.html provides questions identical to the questions I found on the exam I took two weeks ago.
The A+ Core and A+ OS questions on the exam were much different than those found at the same webpage.

Regardless of how the questions are asked, if you know the OSI model and what protocols and hardware operate at what level, you will probably pass. The key is to know all about the OSI model. The rest will fall into place after you know that...
Good Luck

Mike is correct.
However, it was my personal goal to not only pass the exams but to get a good score on them.
I did much better on the Net+ with familiar questions then I did on the A+ where the questions almost seemed like they were for a different exam.Familiarity is good!
Ironically, I knew the OS better than the Core and Networking when I went into this venture. I also spent more time studying for the OS exam than the others. I was surprised with the amount of NT questions on the exam that I did not know. I have never seen WinNT running on a PC either.
They say "If you know Win2K then you know WinNT" WRONG! They are different when it comes to an exam.Passing the exams is second to learning the information though.

I just did all the test(that worked) over at freecomptia.com and got an 84% average(76 lowest score and 91 my highest score) first time through. Is that a good score?
I also have practice that came with my sybex book.

To pass then Net+ exam you need a score of 646 of a possible 900.
I figure that to be around a 70%.
The exam, without any discounts, is $207 so you need to decide what constitutes a good score. What I did was to record all of the scores of all of the tests and then I simply counted only the worst scores I got to accomodate 72 questions.
If the worst results yielded 80% or better I figured I was all set.I also found several Exhibit and troubleshooting scenario questions on the exam. eg. Light is on at Hub A and B but not on Router B. What could be the problem? Or, Client is at the hotel, connects the laptop but gets no dial tone. What is the likely problem?
