I have a skylink switch ethernet 8 port, ADSL modem Dlink 300+ and using WinXP as the OS. I'd like to make a small LAN and connect to the internet. When I try to connect to the internet, a message appear say "disconnected, physical line error". Could anyone help me? thanks

More info needed. Do you get this message from all computers? How is the modem connected? Directly to a PC, in a router, or in the switch?
