I am facing Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)':

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionWrite(WrapperWrite()).]General network problem check network documentation

due to unknown reasons.

My application developed with VB and is communicating with MS SQL Server.

Could someone kindly suggest me how to get rid of from this problem.

Thanks in advance

I am having the same problem.

Could it be MDAC ? I have v2.7 installed and dont know how to get rid of it.

What version of MS-SQL Server are you using ? I have noticed that if my database is local and uses Named Pipes to connect, the problem does not appear, but if it is remote and uses TCP/IP then it does.

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest me how to get a list of similar errors and their meanings and causes and how to fix them....

Have to make a document on this and incorporate in our eSupport workflow.

Thanks and Regards
