network printing problems

I posted my problem earlier and got a couple responses but nothing has worked. In the meantime, the problem is getting worse.
Networking printer came to a sudden halt a few days ago requiring a network restart to resolve the problem. Today, again sporadic network printing problems - some computers can print and others can but only to a couple printers. I did a virus scan on my 3 servers and came up with nothing. I checked my network performance with network monitor and performance monitor and found nothing out of the ordinary (no excessive broadcasting), nothing is coming up in Event Viewer either.
If some computers can print to a particular printer and others cannot then I can eliminate the printer's network cable and port. Network browsing and internet access is totally uneffected which indicates the network is functioning properly.
Does anyone have any suggestions on diagnosing this odd sporadic network printing problem?

Thanks Dan, I started doing that already - have only 20 workstations - it took a long time to run the Bugbear tool on the servers - they all have lots of files to scan so I only got one workstation done so far. I wasn't sure how this worm virus thing worked and if it started from a workstation, how it gets spread.
