Hi guys,
I tried to create a home network using ethernet cables, hub & nics and have gotten local area connection status:connected in my taskbar on both pc's. The shared docs from my main pc show up on the other but if I try to open I get "network path not found" error. I dont see the shared docs from the other pc on my main pc. Both systems can ping themselves locally but if I try to ping across the ethernet connection I get "ping request timed out" error.

I had already disabled windows firewall and created network control rules with comodo firewall to allow the network. Still no joy.

Success! I got rid of my hub and cables and bought a crossover cable instead. Network is file and printer sharing perfectly. The only thing not working is internet connection sharing.. it just doesnt want to work on the client pc.
