Help Please, My home network suddenly stopped working - - - i.e. can't connect to workgroup computers or print share. I have one PC directly connected to a Lynksys router and two other PCs connected via wireless. Last week I installed Symantec AV and Cisco VPN software on two of these PCs and I believe this is when my trouble started. I tried using the system restore function on both PCs to a date before their installation but it had no effect. When I run Net Diagnostics on either PC I get a IPAddress timeout failure on the Network Adapters (192.168.1.100 & 192.168.1.106). I have read that some users used NETBEUI to solve "Network Path Not found" but since the network had been working for months without it I'm assuming there is another solution.

Check to see if Norton AV also loaded and activated a firewall ... many of the newer Norton security suites will do that. For that matter, check to see if it installed anything else, e.g., script blockers, worm blockers. You don't need to run NetBEUI, and really don't want to, because NetBEUI may allow you to network your PCs, but will not work with your broadband connection.
