Hi
I have a home network running on two winXP pro machines
everything is working perfect and I am able to transfer files.
Now, I would like to set a passwords on both machines so that user name and password is required to access shared folders
can anyone walk me through how to do this I've tried but just can't figure it out
I thank you for your time

Go to the control panel, click User Accounts, click on Change the way users log on or off...remove the checks from the boxes at the top of the menu, click on Apply Options. Restart your computer. This will force the log on screen where the User name and Password are required.
