Network Issues

Toshiba Satellite l305-s5921 notebook
August 28, 2009 at 09:07:25
Specs: Windows Vista
My wifes pc got a virus and I was no longer able to connect to my home network. It indicated that I had to upgrade the internal Norton Anti virus protection. I purchased another Virus program but when I tried to install it will not let me uninstall Norton. Now I can connect to my network but with limited local access but cannot connect to the internet. Been trying everything for a week and no success. I've tried to reset the network adapter, rebooting the wireless router and modem... no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

To solve your problem of uninstalling the Norton Antivirus, Symantec has a "Norton Removal Tool" for free, that uninstalls all the Norton Software.
Simply google for Norton Removal Tool.

Please send a reply, if you solved the problem !!!

todays virus's are tools for hackers. You may think you got rid of the virus but there is no guarentee you also closed the back doors into your system. Highly recommend you wipe, format and reinstall vista from scratch. Or take it to a shop to have done.

If you insist on not doing so for heavens sake don't put any banking, credit card or personal information on there!!!
