Hi.I have a network with 2 computers and both running Win98se.I am using a crossover cable. My main computer has 2 network cards installed and is also running the cable modem. The 2nd pc has 1 card installed. Now the main pc can access the internet and also see the other pc and transfer files from it, but the 2nd pc can not do anything.I have added Netbeui in both computers.I noticed on the 2nd pc if I double click the Network neighborhood icon I am getting a flashlight like its looking but nothing happens.Yesterday the 2nd pc was about to see the main computer but it couldnt access the internet now today the 2nd pc cant do anything.Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.Thank you.

Did you run network wizard on the 2nd PC to find the configurations? Is there a link light plus activity on the 2nd PC's NIC? Make sure your cross-over cable is working property to.

I assume your using Internet Connection Sharing?

Explains it all in easy to understand terms.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help gentlemen.I have the 2 pcs seeing one another now but.... I still cannot access the internet on the 2nd pc.
They are able to ping one another and transfer files between the two.Guess my only problem is trying to understand why the 2nd pc can not access the net and the main one can.
Thanks for the help guys and the url.

The main computer with 2 nic's, you need to setup routing of sometype or download a http proxy server and loaded on the computer with the 2 nic's.
www.download.com has many free proxy servers
