Hey

recently got a 2nd hand d-link di-624 router.
when installing it says to connect the router etc then enter 192.168.0.1 into browser to begin the installation wizard.

when i do that it brings up username and password screen.. in the instruction it says to enter admin as username and leave the password blank and it will work and begin the wizard..

this has not worked..
is this just a problem with my computer or me?
or does it have anything to do with it having a password on there already as its 2nd hand?.. i dont know too much about these things and wondering why it wont let me in the wizard..

i have not set it up completely but it still allows me to use the internet freely..

althought MSN messenger wont work..

any help on this problem would be appreciated!!

thanks

On the back of the router tere is a reset button or hole, you need to hold down the reset for about 15 seconds. You should see the lights on the front of the router start blinking after it resets. The try and login like you did before with the default user name and password.

Make sure both are set to obtain IP addresses via DHCP and reboot both.
