Looking for some advice from some pros. I created a two computer network. Basically what I want to do is on the 1st computer run a spyware scanner and antivirus scanner in real-time mode 24/7 and have them both constantly scannning both computers so they are protected. That way my 2nd computer (my main one( is protected but not slowed down by bthe virus / spyware software. Is this a good idea? Anyone have any siuggestions for any specific software?
A lot of the scanners I've found so far don't seem to scan a network, or at leats the real time protection they offer only works on the computer its running and not on the other networked computers.
Thats basically what Im looking for realtime virus / spyware protection for computers on a network. Any help appreciated.

This doesn't seem very practical. The bandwidth needed for PC1 to scan PC 2 would be incredible. Your network would choke. Also, when antivirus programs are installed locally, they check every new file that goes on that system. That won't happen across a network, it will only check when a scan is implemented. You could have a virus on your system and not even know it until a scan is performed. A good antivirus program won't noticeably slow your computer down that much if at all.
