I went and took the new N10-003 Network+ Exam today...........I Passed!!! I needed a 554 or above and got a 644. I didn't exactly Ace it, but I passed.

Congrats....
Often (but not always) that will give you a leg up when when job-hunting.
If you are not already...try to get as much practical network experience as possible to go along with your certification. That will really put you over and above.
While having a certification will not necessary (in and of itself) get you a job....it does show a potential employer that you are serious about the field...not just another "shade-tree" tech.
Hope things go well.

Congrats, I'm also studying for the Network+ exam. So far it's EZ PZ since I took a Cisco Networking class in high school. (Can't really study for CCNA without equipment)

Just out of interest where did you take this test. How did you hear about the test site? What did it cost? I took a network+ course and got an A but I never took the network+ exam. Its been about 2 years but I remember most of the network+ course information. It has been useful to know.

Thanks guys, I'm just looking to get my foot in the door in the IT field, I got my A+ certification in April. I thought with the A+ certification and the Network+ certification that would give me a good starting place.
Beachcoffee, I took my test at New Horizons Computer Learning Center, which is also where I took my A+ and Network+ classes. I think the exam is $218.

There are also many websites that feature practice exams.
You should always be able to locate a discount voucher for the exams for at least 15% off of the exam cost. I got 50% vouchers from the computer school I attended because they were about to expire. Each test's retail price was $150 US and the A+ exam consists of two tests. Net+ is a single exam.
Since then I was able to secure a job in an ITC company as a Help desk analyst even though I did not have the two years experience every one wants before they will hire you. Because I had the two certifications I also got the highest allowable pay (which barely pays my mortgage) for a new employee.
It is my intention to stay here for two years to get that experience everyone else requires. (I like my job) Then I will seek a position in a company that pays more.Working for an IT company, one of the benefits is that they provide the exam vouchers for free for any future exams I take (MCDST is next).
