Solved Network Drive shows up empty on Windows 7

June 27, 2015 at 22:26:58
Specs: Windows 7, Core i5 8 GB RAM
I have an Amped Wireless Router with an external Hard Drive connected to it. Once the Router reboots, it seems as though the drive works perfectly on my computer from across the home network. But when i unplug it from the router and into my tv and back again, the drive reconnects to my pc via the network, but the drive says, " this folder is empty". This is frustrating because it used to work fine after plugging it back into the router. I could get back on it and view all of my movies straight from my computer, now I can't for some odd reason. Please Help! I've tried every thing

✔ Best Answer
The drive may be faulty.

Plug it directly in to a USB port on your PC if possible, then test it with SeaTools for Windows:
