Hi,

When i try and open 'Network Connections' in the control panel it runs very slow and doesnt display any network connections even though i can connect to the internet fine. Would there be a reason for this??

This may or may not be the problem, but check this:

Start Menu > Run > type: service.msc

Find Remote Procedure Call (RPC) in the list, right click it > Properties > set it to Automatic if it is not.
