How is the printer Shared? Print Server, Workgroup Printer or Jet Direct?
Is this a Domain network or a Workgroup?

I suspect it is a Domain and you are using a Print Server. If so it sounds like you lost the Domain Users group from your security on the printer. Right click the printer in on the Print Server and go to the Security tab and double check.
