I have a dell sc440 with windows server 2003. The computer always takes a long time to load and never shuts down. Whenever i try my network connection icon it doent respond, but when i enter safe mode the server works fine but there is nothing in my network connections folder so i can make changes. please help

Have you checked your event logs. I know they are a pain to go through but they are life savers some times. It sounds like a service is getting into an endless loop and not letting all of the other services load in a timely manner. You may want to check task manager and see what is using most of your CPU cycles and it is probably your culprit. Other wise we can't answer the question because there are a great many things that could cause this.
I usually think back to when the problem started and what I did at that time. Then I try undoing it to see if it fixed. If it seemed like it occurred on the 2nd Tuesday of the month then it is do to Mircrosoft's "Black Tuesday", ie the day they do automatic updates. If so then try rolling back some of the updates.
