I'm going to a LAN tomorrow, and I recently bought a new PCI Ethernet card. The problem is when I start up windows 2000, it isn't detected. I have tried another network card, an older one, and it also wasn't detected. I have tried running the installation off the driver CD but it says: "There is no LAN found aboard your system. " I have made sure that the card is firmly attached to a PCI slot, to no avail. These are my specs: Windows 2000 SP4 Athlon XP 2400+ A7N8X Deluxe Motherboard Radeon 9600PRO Vid card 512 DDR RAM I have a feeling that it may be something to do with my motherboard. My NIC: Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Adapter (NC100 v2) Help...I have a similar problem. I have two PC's...a Win 2K and Win 95. I have both connected via an 10/100 Ethernet hub. I also have two printers, with one printer attached to each of the computers. I want to set up my network so I can share files between the computers and so that I can print to both printers from either computer. I do not want to share an internet connection...only file and printer sharing. I installed the NICs, the drivers, and both of the PC's recognize that a NIC card is in the PCI slot. I did not have any problem installing the driver of any of the Network components. I have enabled the file and printer sharing functions via my network properties window. Following is a listing of the Network components that I have added: Client for Microsoft Networks Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Adapter (NC100 v2) IPX/SPX compatible Protocol NetBEUI TCP/IP File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks From the Windows 95 PC I try to open Network Neighborhood but I get the following error: Unable to browse network. Network is not accessible. Also, from the Windows 95 PC I open Device Manager. I see my network card (Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Adapter) listed under the Network Adapters menu. The yellow circle with the exclamation points appears next to my NIC listing. When I click on the properties of my card I get the following error: This device in not present, not working properly or does not have all of the drivers installed. (Code 10) After seeing the above error message, I uninstalled and then reinstalled the NICand network components several times but the message still appears. I tried using another card to no avail. I also attempted switching the card among PCI slots. None of these worked. I also ensured that the hub and cards were properly connected and that the workgroup names on both of the computers were the same. Thanks so much for your help!

that can be driver installation error. mean if you install for win95, In device manager, you have to install manual install, not auto. And choice the path the folder Win95 at your driver Cd or Floopy.
