HELP!!

I am trying to set up a network so my Win98 system can access the internet (broadband) through a Win XP system.

We have a network card with crossover interface.

I have used the network setup wizard from XP and the start up disk it made in the (* system.

I have installed the TCP/IP and the IPX/SPX protocalls.

we both have client for windows installed.

The Dos Ping function just times out when I try it either way.

Can you please help with suggestions?

Thanks
Rob

first, ping your own NIC for both PC, 127.0.0.1, if OK then time to check your cable,if possible check with cable tracer.
