Subject: Network Adapters not workingOS: Xp ProCPU/Ram: 2.5 Gb / 512 MhzModel/Manufacturer: Intel |
Comment: All of the network adapters and the USB controller has a yellow ! next to it and when I tried to reinstall the drivers, it said something about driver missing or corrupted. These on On board and I add a Intel Pro 1000 MT card and it does the same thing.. Any thoughts, on what's happening... Thanks Rick

Reply: (edit)that's kinda tough, but i'm thinking there's either something wrong with your OS not storing driver updates, or your motherboard isn't reading the devices right and needs either a) to have it's chipset drivers updated, or b) the CMOS battery on the motherboard is dying; has the system clock ever spontaneously reset recently? this would indicate that the little nickel sized battery on the motherboard needs to be replaced. just make sure you've got data backed up before you mess with anything, so you don't lose music and photos and work and stuff. good luck =)
