I have an intel DP55WG motherboard with a Gigabit 82578DC built-in adapter. Drivers are up to date but the adapter always has error code 10 on start-up. If I restart the PC then the adapter works fine. Please help!

check its settings in the bios and the bios power management to see if there are settings related to delayed startup or expecting a pxe boot.

Wanderer, thanks for the fast reply.

Sorry but I don't know how to check the adapters settings in the BIOS! BIOS power has nothing which appears to relate to it though.

After Power Failure OFF
Wake on LAN s5 OFF
ACPI suspend state S3
S3 state indicator Blink
S1 state indicator On
Speedstep Enable
CPU C state Enable
C1E Enable
Wake system from S5 Disable
PCIe ASPM Disable

They're the settings in Power. The ACPI and S3 stuff means nothing to me.

How do I check the adapter's settings in BIOS?
