Netstat issues with Win2k && Win98

I have a problem where Windows 2000 netstat -an will report a connection is established on a certain port to a win 98 machine. Yet on the win98 machine, netstat will not report that the connection is established, but only listening on that same port. The problem is hard to duplicate and only shows up every now and then. When things are working, both win2k and win98 shows the connection as established. To fix the problem i generally just reboot the win2k machine to restart the connection again. Where would this bug lie with, win2k or win98?

What port are you talking about.
Windows normally installs the microsoft client with the netbios protocol for file and print sharing and the name resolution in a windows environment. Therefor, windows uses some standard ports like port 135 - DCE Endpoint Resolution port 137 - Netbios Name Service port 138 - Netbios Datagram Service port 139 - Netbios Session Service
So which ports are used at your system and is showing established connection?
