I work in a small office (about 15 computers). My computer is the print server. We have a Linksys printer server. I had an older computer running Windows 98. Most of the other computers on the LAN also run Windows 98.
I recently got a new computer with Windows XP. Both the new computer and old computer have the printer server software on it now. I’m having trouble moving the print server to my new computer. It prints fine from my computer. The problem is when I share the printer and others try to use it.
If I log onto the other computers (named “Bill”, “Jane” and “John”) as myself, I can add the printer to all the computers in the network. However, if Bill, Jane or John are logged onto the computer, they cannot print. The error they get is that the printer is not accessible. If Bill, Jane or John are logged onto the computer, I cannot add the printer from the new computer.
When Bill, Jane and John are logged on, they can add the printer from the old computer, just not the new computer. I’ve tried turning off the old computer and allowing only the new computer to be on, but I get the same problems.
Any ideas?

This is an account issue. If they don't have valid account on the XP computer, they can't use its ressources.
