A couple of moths ago I got a Netopia Gateway 3347 for my Win XP PC, which is connected to it by Ethernet and an outdated Win 98 Dell Inspiron 3800. The laptop is connected, sometimes, to the gateway by a wireless pc card, a netopia 3d reach (G).
While i have finally managed to stop the laptop panicking and freezing on startup, I am still waiting everytime to see whether or not the wireless card will turn itself on. It has not for some time. The laptop did manage a few journeys onto the internet in its lifetime, but now the lights are not even flashing on the card, though i have reinstalled the driver, and it does register within the pc card slot.
I can't find any support on the netopia site. And the network that I tried to set up between the two computers has only occasionally made itself available. Obviously I don't know what I am doing; should I just give up?
