I've been struggling with this problem for a few days now and have not been able to resolve this issue.
First, My home network consists of 4 PC's running Win 98/98SE, Win Millenium and NT4 Server. My server is installed as primary and is used for file and printer sharing for the most part. The network is a wired LAN which connects to the Internet via a Lynksys router which is also my DHCP server.
I'm trying to run Netmmeting 3.01, but, always get hung up at the same point. I can NOT log in to ANY ILS servers. Further, when I use Windows address book, I get an error that I'm trying to call myself. Netmeeting is configured to Broadband access over the LAN. When I configure Microsoft Internet Directory, it tells me to download Microsoft Messenger. I did that, but, still get the same message when I, again, try to access the Microsoft Internet Directory. So, I configured ILS.netmeeting.com for my directory. When Netmeeting tries to log in to that directory, it tells me Log in failed because, either, I'm not connected to the network or the site is unavailable. This occurs with all ILS sites I tried and I tried quite a few. These failures occur on Netmeeting on all workstations and the NT4 Server. I can successfully ping the ILS servers which leads me to believe my workstations are configured incorrectly, but, I can't figure out why. Ther are no problems connecting to the Internet with the browsers from any workstation or the NT4 server.
I would really appreciate some help. I'm a relative novice at servers and such.
Thanks,
Tom
