Hi,

I recently got myself Netgear's RP614v2 switch to split my DSL connection between two computers. Since then I constantly have images not showing up on the same sites; usually they are banners, but sometimes they are not [for example I can't view the little promotion frames on eBay and just various other images]. I heard that Netgear includes ad blocking feature in their products. Could it be it? I looked through the manual, switch's settings, even Netgear’s support site, but could not find any info on the issue.

Any ideas on how can I fix it?

Thank you in advance, Ilya.

Hi
I do not think that any switch or router can block images, but your browser does.

Double check your web brower setting. It is more help if you can state what kind/ver of the web browser you are using.

In Win XP I use SlimBrowser [based on IE's engine] and IE. In RedHat I use Mozilla.

I don't know about netgear but our corporate firewall can be setup so you can only have so many sessions open. This as default is set to 5 so google is fine because the page is just google but sites like yahoo have links to other sites for diplaying banners. because the firewall see's each site as a new session it blocks some of the pictures.
