Having problems getting my wireless network to function correctly. I have a Netgear WGT624 v2 router and a WG311T wireless network adapter. On the second computer, the adapter displays that it is connected to the internet and it was able to download updates in MacAfee and Norton. Problem is I can not access the internet or even use the AOL program. My ISP is Earthlink. I'm not having any problems with the wired computer with the router. I tried using the Windows network setup utility and the Netgear adapter utility but neither works. I also have tried using a USB adapter card but can not get it to renew the IP address. Also, all firewalls have been disabled until I can get a good internet connection. Any suggestions?

OK so I take it the wired computer has no problems on the internet but the wireless computer can do updates but not access sites on the web.

sounds like a problem just with the wireless computer and nothing else. That is if you get a dhcp address from the router and you can IE to the routers web page. Can you?

Do you have any spyware blockers or antivirus enabled?

Can you ping google.com?
