Hi Gents,

I have recently acquired a new WGR614 v 6 and have had a few problems. After tinkering around a bit I was able to get the router to give out signal and was able to connect my laptop to the router wirelessly, however when i try and conenct to the internet there simply is no connection.

When i plug the router in to my pc through the lan the internet works fine, so on that assumption it is safe to say the connection is active and is going through the router.

Im sure it is some simple setting but im stumped - i really dont have a clue.

If anyone coulld be of assistance it would be really appreciated.
Thanks

have you gone into the router, and setup the ssid for the wireless?
192.168.0.1
then change the router address to
192.168.1.1
the in the wireless settings, in ssid give it a name for the wireless, and in the wireless setup the same for the laptop.

How do you mean? I can get into the router settings by typing 192.168.2.1 but i have tried almost everying... the wireless signal was not showing until i changed the chanel to 1 ( from 11).

Ie when i searched for wireless devices on my laptop it wouldnt show, so i changed the chanel to 1 and it appeared.
