Thanks!!!
i've followed the steps below does this mean im secure now, also to change password does anyone know what I have to do please
1. Open a Web browser and type http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar. This is the network address to log in to your DG834 router. The login screen shown displays.
2. The user name for the router is always admin, and the default password is password. If the password does not work, see Lost or Forgotten Password

Just a suggestion: Either make sure you can remember the new password or store it somewhere securely. Otherwise if you need to reconfigure the router you'll have use the Reset button in back to return it to factory defaults and start all over.

Also, use WPA encryption to secure your WiFi network and change the encryption key every month or so. Easist way to update the key is to generate a new one and copy it to a text file on a floppy or thumb drive. Update the router and then carry this media device around to each client and copy the new encryption key to them from there.

Don't use WEP: WEP is obsolete and almost trivial to break these days.
