I have a really wierd problem with my Netgear MR314. When I first turn it on, the wireless clients can see the network and everything is okay. Then suddenly the wireless network disappears and none of the wireless clients can detect my wireless network (although other wireless networks in the area are listed). This happens about after 1-2 minutes of online time from when I reset the router. Sometimes it won't work even after I reset the router multiple times, and sometimes the connection stays, but it seems to disconnect and reconnect at random times. I've upgraded the firmware and tested this on 3 different clients...all of which have the same problem at the same time. I've even tried this from about 1 foot away from the router and in different directions from the router, so its not interference. I'm thinking that I need a new router. Any ideas?

Igor

you say there are other wirless networks in the area?

wireless networks work on channels (different frequencys) so try changing the channel. becareful which channel you use as some are quite close to others in terms of frequency, even if they have a different channel number.

to check the channels and wireless strengths of the access points close to you do a google search for netstumbler and download it to check other access points.

Ok thanks I will try that. I'm sure that at least one of the other networks is using the same SSID as mine.
