We have 3 laptops that connect to a NETGEAR wireless system that is connected to a desktop. In the past, all but my computer (the Compaq) have been able to connect to the network. I was able to get intermittent access over the past year, but lately have been totally unable to get access to the internet. My computer tells me that NETGEAR has an excellent signal, but when I try to connect I get a "limited or no connectivity" error message. We tried to reset the WEP codes and now no one can get online. They also all get the same error message.

We just disabled the security on the network, obviously making it an unsecured network, and now all but my Compaq can get online. I can, however, get access to my neighbor's unsecured wireless network. I'm utterly perplexed as to why I can't get on my own wireless network when it's unsecured.

doing any mac address filtering?

You can always set it back to factory defaults by using a paperclip and press the reset button while coming up from a cold start.

See if that doesn't work better for you

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.

Well its either 1, your SSID's don 't match . 2. Your mac addresess are not in the filter list if you are using that feature or 3. The WEP codes do not match exactly . The wep codes must match exact and this includes numbers ,capitol letters etc.... You could also try putting the router on a different channel ,maybe you are getting interference from your neighbor , use 1,6 or 11 .
