Neighbor networks show up in my wifi network

Specs: Windows XP, 256ram
its says i have 4 wireless networks, and can only pick up on one and only want the one, i removed the other 3 but they keep coming back i do i keep them from coming back or what thank you if i need more than one let me know what i should do

When you say you have four wireless networks, what do you mean? Is there four networks that you can view? All they all unsecured? What SSID name did you use, or did you not change the default and it just shows the name of the manufacturer of your router. Did you not set any passwords/WPA for any security?

yes i can view 4 networks.3 secured and one unsecure which is the only one i can connect to did not set any passwords

The other 3 networks are you neighbors. You need to follow your router's instruction to make your network secure. Enable WPA/WPA2, set the secure password for the network and change the name of the router and set a password for it, so that no one in your area can use and monitor your network.
